African developers apply to join our Tunga every day. Our pool currently has over 350 developers from 24 African countries. To be able to join Tunga, the candidates need to pass a variety of tests that cover technical skills and soft skills, including situational awareness and communication.
Custom recruitment
Once you have provided us with the profile you are looking for we start the recruitment process among the developers in our pool. It generally takes up to 4 days to provide you with a shortlist of 3 candidate profiles, including CV and test scores. When we don’t have suitable or available candidates in our pool, we do an out-of-platform search, that usually takes about 14 days. Based on your preferences we organize interviews and when necessary we do additional tests.
Getting started
Once you have chosen the final candidate we will send you a formal offer. We have flexible arrangements ranging from part-time and temporary 4 hour contracts to full-time open ended contracts. The first month you are assigned a talent manager who follows the collaboration closely, organizing a joint kick off meeting, consulting both you and the developer, and generally ensuring that things take off smoothly.
Support
Once the collaboration has taken off, the talent manager checks in regularly with both you and the developer. Either by means of a short survey or by calling/mailing. If an issue arises, the talent manager will troubleshoot and make sure that the continuity of your assignment is guaranteed.

What does it cost to hire a full-stack developer at Tunga?
The regular fee for an advanced full-stack developer at Tunga is EUR 29,- per hour. Everything is included, there are no additional costs (for example for the recruitment, support, etc).
Can I hire a part-time full-stack developer?
Yes. The minimum number of hours allocated is 4 hours per week. If you would hire a team, it would also be possible to have some of the members full-time and some part-time, depending on your exact needs.
How long does the whole process take?
A typical placement process takes around 2-4 weeks. After receipt of your briefing, we can swiftly (usually within 3 days) present you a shortlist of qualified and available candidates. Then there’s interviews with you (and your colleagues?). And once you’ve made a final choice, we can promptly send you the proposal for signing. After signing, the developer can start immediately.
